Coin Graph For Flip A Coin Day on June 1
![]() |
| Coin Graph |
Instruct children to line up all their quarters into one column, all pennies into one column, all nickels into one column, and all their dimes into one column.
Compare the columns and teach children the concepts of tallest/shortest, most/least, and shortest/longest.
Flip A Coin Chart for Flip A Coin Day on June 1
| Flip A Coin Chart |
When the child flips a coin, he can match the face up side with one of the coin images at the bottom of the chart - heads or tails. Each time heads lands face up, he shades in a box above the "heads" image. Each time tails lands face up, he colors in a box above the "tails" image.
Parents and teachers can also use this activity to teach tall/short and more/less when comparing bars on the graph.

Is Daily Aspirin Therapy The Right Choice?
This morning, I learned that new studies were released back in March that indicate Daily Aspirin Therapy not only helps prevent heart attack and stroke, but Aspirin also helps prevent several types of cancers. Medical doctors and the scientific community argue about whether or not the results are conclusive. However, a few things are clear. There are benefits for some people, but there are also some serious risks. Read my Hubpage article, Daily Aspirin Therapy: Should We or Shouldn't We, to learn more.
Also, please watch the following ABC video about the subject.

Memorial Day Tribute: More Than A Name On A Wall by the Statler Brothers
I just published a new article on Hubpages: Memorial Day Tribute: More Than A Name on a Wall by the Statler Brothers (Youtube Video).
We enjoy various freedoms every day because someone died protecting our rights to do so. "Thank You" will never be enough. Those words are insufficient.
I spent Memorial Day weekend with my husband who served in the United States Marine Corp and my son who currently serves in the United States Army while so many others spent the day visiting grave sites and national memorials. My prayers go out to those families . . .

Drew and Dutchess
Drew and Hillary left school early today. Seniors get to do that this week. He and Hillary had nothing else to do and nowhere else to go sot they ended up at the Humane Society of White County. Drew sent a video of a he and Hillary playing with an adorable little white cat with text which read "I WANT IT!!!!!!" . . . and he got it.
